Kung Fu Panda

It has been months that the above DVD has been playing once or twice every single night in our bedroom. Rayyan loves it so much. He knows the characters well and even memorizes the lines. Yang tak tahan tu he loves the part where Po was learning how to kung-fu with Master Shifu. He loves to immitate the kungfu steps and practise them especially on me and his Atok.

Actually Kung Fu Panda was not bad at all! I love it... so I wouldn't mind it playing over and over again, night after night after night....

The other day we went to Giant and Rayyan stopped me when he saw this...

So we bought this packet of Maggi Mee. It says "Percuma 1 Pelekat Kung Fu Panda...". I thought it was a sticker of Po. Rupa-rupanya stick-on tattoo!

Rayyan wanted to stick all of 'em at once... I said no. Only one character at a time.

His Nenek said.. "korang ni mengajar anak buat benda-benda macamni nanti bila dah besar nanti ntah apa-apa tattoo dia buat kat badan dia..."

It's Daiyan, Darwish... and Darwoud!!

The above photos were taken during one of Rayyan's three "birthday parties" we did for him. In fact this is the third one for his 4th birthday (hopefully I can blog about this later). The reason for this post is just to highlight Daiyan, Darwish.. and their "ibu", Noris (pregnant in the above picture) who just delivered another boy last Saturday!

Congrats, Noris & Hairy!

So now we have Daiyan, Darwish, and Darwoud!

Diaper-less

AT LAST!! For a couple of weeks now I'm proud to say that Rayyan is no longer in need of a diaper (at least during the day). We should try him without diapers at night as well since he has not peed in his diapers throughout his sleeping hours at night... every night except once.

Although we still put his diapers on close to his bedtime, he always asks "permission" to pee so that we would take off his diapers and bring him to the bathroom.

So last weekend we had to buy lots of underwears for him to wear at One Utama. For RM27 we got 9 pieces. That should be enough for now.

No more Mamy Pokos for Rayyan anymore!

Tart Nenas

Rayyan loves tarts. In fact he loves other kuih raya as well. We just received samples of this year's kuih raya to be distributed to our agents and others but before it got to our agents, 1/2 dah habis ditelan Sheikh Azri Rayyan dan Sheikh Faisal... hehe.. who can resist the temptations of delicious kuih such as the one above?

I put up all the kuih pics on facebook and many friends kata the presentation first class! Gambar cantik2. Well... the photo MUST do justice to the taste... kalau tak, habis lagi le sample nak bagi orang rasa... hehe.. actually my Sony T2 camera does take lovely pictures, even better than my previous Sony camera.

Last year we sold hundreds (about a thousand plus actually) of bottles to those who didn't even get the samples. Tengok gambar je dah meleleh air liur.. haha.. hopefully this year pun macam tu jugak.. hahaha..

Kuih, kuih, sapa nak beli!!!!

It's that time of the year again... when we get busy to arrange for sample kuih raya for friends and families and our new friends whom we've known through the Kuih Raya Kelana Jaya blog who became our agents... hahaha...

Last year was a superb achievement in kuih raya selling in the history of kuih raya selling in my life! Unexpected. We, well.. Ja, used to sell about 100-200 bottles of kuih raya (1 bottle = 50 pcs) since the first ever Raya that she knew me. So last year we decided why not create a website so that instead of providing samples, why not just show the photo of the kuih to those people who forgot kuih apa yang diorang dah order last year and just let us know how many bottles they want.

That was the plan. But...

Since we started the blog, we've got people calling from as far as Penang to get hold of our kuih raya! Others call and start ordering on behalf of their office mates, which automatically qualified them as our agents. By the end of the day, we eventually sold off 1,100 bottles of kuih raya within 1 month! Now, ladies and gentlemen... that's the POWER of Internet!

So tahun ni... ingat nak buat canggih sikit.. got a few plans to do, but since Ja is terlampaulah gemuk gedempol sekarang, some plans have to be put on hold till next year... but since demand is GREAT, we sambung jela what we did last year.

And we managed to includea few more addition to our list of kuih, including this heavenly rich fruit cake! YUM-MM-MY!

The Eye Protector

Every once in a while I would cook tomato soup (from scratch!) for Rayyan. He loves tomato soup. He never refuses to eat my tomato soup even he is in no mood to eat anything. Of course, he likes to get involved in the cooking process as much as possible.

The only thing I would let him do is eating the raw carrots and tomatoes that I slice (yeah I put carrots in my tomato soup.. sometimes a bit of broccoli too!).

One day, when it came to cutting the garlic and onions, he said he wanted to get something from his room. He came back with the swimming goggles on. There you go.. the onion juice protector for the eye!

American Cousins

A cousin of mine, Azura (Aju) married a UPM-grad Jordanian, Ibrahim. They're living in Sacramento, California. They've been staying there for 10 years or so since Ibrahim is working there. Aju's parents would go there once or twice a year and stay there for 2-4 months each time. Nice, eh?

Recently, they came back for summer holidays and came to visit. Rayyan and his cousins - Osama, 'Aya and Yazeed had a great time. It's nice to see Osama and the mak nenek 'Aya played along great and became the best playmates. Yazeed is still too young.. only 2. 'Aya is 5, Osama is 8. Rayyan fits well with his "American" accent. Hahaha.. how I wish we could just pack our bags and live in the states.. hahaha

This is Osama.

This is 'Aya (right) and Yazeed (left).
When they came for visit, Ja's sister and family was already here. So Rayyan had 3 cousins from the US, and 2 Malaysian cousins to play with. Naturally, he got along better with the American speaking cousins, especially Osama. But kids being kids.. language is no barrier. Nice to see the Malaysian cousins - Afiq and Adib joined in and play together.

When Ja's sister and family went home, there were less adults in the house. Apa lagi.. Osama, Rayyan and 'Aya took charge... bringing toys outside to the corridor and had the fun of their life. By the end of the day sekor2 belengas-lengas.. sweaty and all, especially the "American" kids.

They have all went back to the States last Monday. Hmm.. maybe next year they'll come again.. or kalau ada rezeki maybe we'll go there and visit them.. boleh pergi Disneyland and round2 San Francisco.

Ja's Birthday

Ja's birthday was on July 26. It's the same date as my parents' wedding anniversary. Since a lot of things happening during that weekend, we only managed to sneak out and have our celebration dinner during one of the weekdays. I took her out for dinner at Victoria Station... together with Rayyan.

Appetizers:
Me and Ja always go for Ceasar Salad everywhere we go. The best that we've had so far was at Modesto's below Plaza Damas (dah tutup dah tempat tu). Rayyan will always have his mushroom soup. He lurrrrves mushroom soup. Kalau dekat TGIF, if we order the huge bowl, he would finish it all up. Ja initially wanted the raw oyster. Mana boleh! No oysters for pregnant ladies!!

Appetizer verdict:
Ceaser Salad tak sedap. Mushroom soup was okay for me... but for Rayyan.. dia bedal je asalkan mushroom soup. Hehehe.. the best food during appetizer for me was the hot bun and butter and the side salad.. haha

Entr'ee:
Ja had the rib, I had the rib-eye, Rayyan had the fish & chip (he would usually go for tomato-based spaghetti but Victoria Station takde pulak spaghetti..).

Entr'ee verdict:
I should have ordered the chilli rib. Ja's rib was good. Rayyan finished his chips but not the fish.

Desert:
Orang Malaysia mana nak makan desert kalau dah melantak! Hehehe..

All in all.. roughly about RM160 for 3 of us and Rayyan brought home 2 balloons.

Rayyan's Sister in 4D

Went to see Dr Susanna last Saturday for the monthly checkup. We're now in our 28th week of pregnancy. This time Dr Susannah gave us the CD of all scans she did since our first visit. Maybe she was trying to free up the disk space on her machine.. haha..

I asked her if we can see videoclips of the scans.. she says "aiya.. have not learned that yet laa..." haha and "the video will eat up my disk space laa..".. it would be cooler if we can see the videos though.. but the 4D pix are just wonderful! Thank God for modern technology! ;-)

Anyways, there she is (yup, Dr Susannah said can see the"pepet" already"... although we didn't get it on 4D haha).. with her fingers on her forehead... saying.. aiya.. so boring la.. have to say in here for another 2-3 months!

There are more 4D pics.. maybe I'll just save it for later posts.. :-P
