Ahmadinejad & Mr. Bean

Earlier I mentioned about Rayyan getting a new cousin. There he is with Ahmadinejad (I think that's how the name is spelled). Ahmadinejad is the name of the current Iranian President. Photo taken at Putrajaya Hospital secretly. It seems that no photos are allowed in the ward.

Since Kak Ina (Ja's sister) is a government servant, guess how much she had to pay for the whole c-section delivery + 3 days/2 night stay in 4-bedded room + daily home visits for 10 days by clinic nurses? RM9.

Yup! Only RINGGIT SEMBILAN SAHAJA!

Now makes me wonder... just for a little bit more comfort, no hours and hours of waiting, a single room, people to accompany who can actually sleep in the same room, and a slightly better food, private hospitals like Damansara Specialist Center or Gleneagles would charge 1000 times that amount!

Anyways, back to Rayyan.. he loves the baby soooo much! At home, he always says "Papa, Mama, Cik Ina punya baby GERAAAAMMMM!!!!", siap dengan hand gestures as if he would picit2 pipi si Ahmadinejad tu.. haha..

Last week, Atok went to buy Rayyan Mr. Bean pyjamas... siap dengan slippers lagi tu... murah je.. RM16.90 kat Giant Kelana Jaya.

Actually I refrain myself from buying anything "Bean". Although I was almost tempted to buy the Mr. Bean teddy. Didn't want him to be Mr Bean himself.. hahaha.. pengotor.. but since Atok dia dah beli, it was good la jugak considering Rayyan has outgrown almost all of his pyjamas. Time to go to Tesco and buy new ones.. hehe...

Baby name and interesting findings

I was browsing the net for baby names the other day and found some revealing findings...

I was interested in one female name "x"... searched for it on the usual muslim baby names websites and found the meaning to be "sweet smelling flower of paradise"... how wonderful is that for a baby girl? Just imagine bila you cium pipi baby tu and it reminds you that the baby is a "gift" from paradise...

(Just in case you wondered how I got Rayyan's name, click here: Sheikh Azri Rayyan - What's in the Name?)

Then I actually yahooed the name "x" to see whether if there are any hadiths that mentions that name coz I was curious how they got the meaning to the name, unless of course it is stated in the Quran or hadiths.

Unfortunately, besides the list of all muslim baby name websites that yahoo churned out, there were lots of websites claiming that the name "x" as.. dunno how to say this but just look at this article excerpt:

"He made sexual advances on Safiyah a Jewish girl in the same day he captured her town, Kheibar, and killed her father, husband and many of her relatives. "X" was another Jewish girl of Bani Quraiza whom he used as sex slave after killing all her male relatives. In the last ten years of his life he accumulated a score of wives, concubines and sex slaves including the 9 year old Ayesha."
"He" as in the above quote refers to Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. And the article that I got that from was from a website claiming that they are freethinkers of Muslim origins. They live the Muslim lifestyle but they no longer believe Islam as the true religion of God. Murtad la kira ni...

And I later found out that there were many more websites like that, that show the exact same articles albeit in different font and font sizes (and even languages!). Nauzubillah....

To me the above quote shows how dangerous it is for some people to interpret the Quran or Hadith to suit their cause and to take advantage of less-informed Muslims into denouncing their own religion.

I'm sure there are many interpretations of Quran and Hadiths that have been twisted like the one above to confuse Muslims. And the sad thing is that it is from the same type of interpretation that led people like Osama bin Laden or those that are the real terrorists to use Islam to fight their cause and killing innocent human beings.

I'm still searching for the truth to the name "x" and still wish to have the name on the list of possible names for our next baby.

The "hamburger" sign

Me, Ja, and Rayyan went to DSH again to see Dr Susannah last Saturday for the monthly pregnancy checkup. We are so far in our 22nd week of pregnancy.. cepat giler... Ja was only 3 month's pregnant when we were in Europe!

As usual, Rayyan was excited to see the baby in mama's tummy. Tak sabar nak tunggu the ultrasound scan. Last month we checked, it looked good for a babygirl, and this time, we were shown the "hamburger" sign. Yummy! Hahahaha... we still couldn't get the scan photo printed sebab Dr Susannah nak tunggu till the last checkup and she will just give the CD of the whole scan pics. So here's how the hamburger sign look like (photos from the Internet):

Hehe... of course we're not looking for "that" in the ultrasound scan... but just as a reference, you're supposed to look for the three horizontal lines (the 2 buns and the meat in between lol!) in a scan such as the one below:

The hamburger is supposed to be in between the two thighs shown above. Found it? haha

So if you see that hamburger sign, it's a girl! Although, the turtle head might still show up upon delivery, so it's not 100% sure just yet. If God wants to give you another boy, you'll get the boy. If God wants you to have a girl... yeay! Alhamdulillah.

So far at 22 weeks, Dr Susannah said she has not been wrong. If she sees the hamburger at 22 weeks, it's gonna be a hamburger delivered! InsyaAllah...

Rayyan's new cousin

Rayyan is expecting a new cousin to be born this morning. Ja's elder sister is delivering her first baby at Putrajaya Hospital and we should be hearing the good news in a couple of hours.

We were quite surprised at how the doctors are well-educated to serve the people there at Putrajaya Hospital. My sis-in-law we informed step-by-step on the procedures that she would undergo a few days before... this includes what will/should happen during the spinal injection, how she would feel, and how the c-section will be done, etc. Well done, Putrajaya Hospital!

I always thought that government hospitals just do whatever they think is right for the patients without letting them know what's actually happening...

But still, doctors je bagus tak jadi jugak.. yang penting the staff nurses tu kena pandai layan patients baik-baik...

I sure hope everything is well for Kak Ina (Ja's sister) who is 37 years old, expecting her first baby, after miscarried last year. Yang nak tergelak tu in one of her checkup visits, the doctor jokingly explained why she had to undergo through a c-section instead of normal delivery..

Doctor: Awak ni... orang umur macam awak ni dah nak tutup kedai, awak ni baru nak mula berniaga...

LOL! And she dengan selambanya menjawab...

Ina: Nak buat camna doktor... modal baru cukup....

hahahahaha....
