Baby name and interesting findings

I was browsing the net for baby names the other day and found some revealing findings...

I was interested in one female name "x"... searched for it on the usual muslim baby names websites and found the meaning to be "sweet smelling flower of paradise"... how wonderful is that for a baby girl? Just imagine bila you cium pipi baby tu and it reminds you that the baby is a "gift" from paradise...

(Just in case you wondered how I got Rayyan's name, click here: Sheikh Azri Rayyan - What's in the Name?)

Then I actually yahooed the name "x" to see whether if there are any hadiths that mentions that name coz I was curious how they got the meaning to the name, unless of course it is stated in the Quran or hadiths.

Unfortunately, besides the list of all muslim baby name websites that yahoo churned out, there were lots of websites claiming that the name "x" as.. dunno how to say this but just look at this article excerpt:

"He made sexual advances on Safiyah a Jewish girl in the same day he captured her town, Kheibar, and killed her father, husband and many of her relatives. "X" was another Jewish girl of Bani Quraiza whom he used as sex slave after killing all her male relatives. In the last ten years of his life he accumulated a score of wives, concubines and sex slaves including the 9 year old Ayesha."
"He" as in the above quote refers to Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. And the article that I got that from was from a website claiming that they are freethinkers of Muslim origins. They live the Muslim lifestyle but they no longer believe Islam as the true religion of God. Murtad la kira ni...

And I later found out that there were many more websites like that, that show the exact same articles albeit in different font and font sizes (and even languages!). Nauzubillah....

To me the above quote shows how dangerous it is for some people to interpret the Quran or Hadith to suit their cause and to take advantage of less-informed Muslims into denouncing their own religion.

I'm sure there are many interpretations of Quran and Hadiths that have been twisted like the one above to confuse Muslims. And the sad thing is that it is from the same type of interpretation that led people like Osama bin Laden or those that are the real terrorists to use Islam to fight their cause and killing innocent human beings.

I'm still searching for the truth to the name "x" and still wish to have the name on the list of possible names for our next baby.
